Birthdays and getting back on track.

So today I turned 22. It’s been a good day, didn’t really open any gifts because my parents got me a TON of furniture for my apartment. It’s nice, it’s been chill, everyone’s been in a good mood, I definitely can’t complain :) 

I was thinking, and I know I made a post about this earlier, but when I write to you guys, it really keeps me motivated. I’ve been going to the gym a lot when I can, which isn’t super often anymore, but happens at least 2-3 times a week. My diet’s been slowing slipping, however. I hardly count calories lately, which is fine, but I also overeat when I don’t.. which is NOT okay. I’m only about 3-4 pounds heavier than what I started at the beginning of the summer, but I really wanna lose to get down to 130, or even 125 (which would be *great!*). Next weekend I’m going out to celebrate my birthday with friends, so I’ll be drinking, then the week after I’ll be focusing on moving in, but starting the week of August 14th, I’m getting my butt in check. I’m cutting out most (if not all) alcohol, buying NO “junk food” so no chips, cookies, candy, ice cream, etc… so really I’ll be eating healthier again, and I’ll be going to the gym more regularly because I can stop by right after work, since I’ll be living much closer to where I work.Then the week after, school starts, so I’ll be in a schedule and keeping up the routine will be much easier. I got this!

And this go around… soda is outta the question :) We’ll see how long it takes for 10-15 pounds to come off. I’m gonna make myself a better me. :)

Birthday weekend! Not losing weight this weekend.

It’s my birthday Sunday and Dad’s birthday today. Grandma brought over her homemade chili… I’m addicted to her chili spaghetti. With cheese on top. It’s bad, I ate a HUGE plate full. Now I’m eating a small piece of Dad’s birthday cake and Mom’s making me a carrot cake for my birthday. But I’m not holding back for my birthday. I already feel a little bad for overdoing it tonight with no workout. But I can’t be too hard on myself. I’m turning 22, I’m going to enjoy myself this weekend. I’ll get more serious next week, then seriously buckling down the week after, when I move out of my house. I’m not gonna mess around this year at school. Cutting back drinking and gonna keep up the healthy eating. I’m turning myself around. Not gonna stress about my weight for a few weeks, then it’s getting serious.

My personal health rant. Ughh.

Ughhh so today was an awful day calorie wise. I mean, I guess according to myfitnesspal, I earned almost 800 calories because of exercise, but I also ate about 1760 (approximately) because my brother and I went to a mexican restaurant for lunch. I am only about 2.6 pounds heavier than I was at the beginning of the summer, but it’s still a bummer! Lately, I dunno why I have been feeling like this, but I can not get enough food in me! I’m seriously constantly hungry. Ughh. Even after I eat what I’m supposed to, I still feel like I need 3-400 calories after my 1200. I guess what I really should start doing is listening to my body, but I’m so bad about that, I have such a bad habit of eating super fast and not realizing I’m full until I’m way way already done eating. It’s awful. And I go balls out at the gym every day off that I have, then run on days I work (which is very hard after a 12.5 hour shift +45 min drive home), but it’s almost not enough. Whatever. 

Here’s my thought. I’m doing OK I guess (maybe I’m doing one too many cheat days, lately it’s hard for me to keep track of my food), but I’m moving out into my own apartment on the 9th. It’s always much easier for me to control my diet when I’m on my own, don’t ask me why. But my plan is to get back on track for real when I move back to school, because next year, I’m staying there, not moving home. So there’s really no place to go but.. up? right? Eek. How are you guys doing?? I’m sorry if you read this whole thing, I just needed to get my thoughts out there, they’ve been pestering me a lot lately!

I'm moving into a new apartment and want to paint an accent wall in my room.. any ideas for what color I should do?

My furniture is white, and I want a color that would look really homey and inviting. Hah, any ideas? I’m having so much trouble picking out a color!

Ran three miles, walked two, walked 30 min on the highest incline, lifted 35 minutes.

Burnt looooots of calories.. but I’m ok with it! It’s just difficult to run in such hot weather.

Yesterday I ran a total of 5 miles and walked 3..

I ran 3 earlier in the day and walked 2, when I was by myself. Then my friend called and wanted to go running, so I went with her and did 2 more and walked one. Then screwed it all up with popcorn at Harry Potter. Hah. But still, I was happy with myself :)

OK, seriously guys? I'm going to start unfollowing people with unhealthy lifestyles... Eating less than 1200 cals/day, this means you, too.

Seriously guys. I try to be motivational to other people, but really, this blog is for me. I can’t keep following people that practice unhealthy lifestyles. Eating less than 1200 calories a day, that’s unhealthy. I don’t get anything out of following you and I can’t reblog stuff to my followers like that. It’s preaching something I don’t believe in. So kick it up, or you’re out.

One thing that keeps me on track with my diet is planning my meals ahead of time, usually the night before.
