For me, school always comes first. This week I worked 2 12 hour shifts at the hospital, so obviously no working out then.. Today I have class til noon, then meeting my roommates to study at the library until 4, then at about 6 meeting them for more studying at a Starbucks until we feel like we’re done for the night. I am deciding when or IF I should work out. I COULD fit in some cardio between 4 and 6, but then I’d be all gross for studytime at Sbucks. Dunno if I want that. So I might wait until later, and if studying is going badly tonight, I’ll just leave a little early and fit my workout in THEN. But if it’s going good, dunno if I’ll get to the gym tonight. Oh well… I guess if I work out all weekend, 3 days out of the week isn’t too bad… right? For everyone in the midst of Finals Week… good luck! :)
Welp, I’m up, just ate breakfast and getting ready to head to campus for class. The plan is to go to school, get done at around noon, hit the gym for at least running, come back and shower, then meet my roomies at Starbucks for some quality study time. I’ve worked out my day and I’m fitting in a caramel macchiato (you can’t NOT get something yummy while you’re there for 3 hours. Amirite?!). I’m packing a sandwich and taking it with me to class so that I can just leave straight from class to go to the gym. Plus, it’s back tracking to go back to the apartment and I’m just cutting down time by bringing everything. I’m doing really good with working out and eating this week, I just feel better when I do. I love getting a good run in and it really helped my mood last night! Anyways, I hope you all have a healthy Thursday!!
So I didn’t make it to the gym (dang low blood sugar!), but I DID do 3 miles. My first 2, I had an 8:36 minute pace :) :) and after that, I walked probably a quarter mile, then did my last mile at a 9:30 minute pace. Not too shabby! Alright, back to studying babies and pregnancies. :) I love nursing school.
I got up about 9, had a piece of toast with nutella and apple. Got to studying, then had soup for lunch. I’m speeding through everything in my super productive state, all I really have left to do is study my peds and OB notes. SO! I made a grilled cheese with spray butter and 35 calorie bread (for a total of… 125 calories) and I’m thinking I’m gonna go for a run! I don’t really have a goal today, I guess I’d be thrilled with three miles, maybe I’ll shoot for 2.. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t run in probably 2 weeks. Eek. So I’ll post what happens later, maybe. Then I figured I’d go to the gym if I’m feeling up to it afterwards.. we’ll see!
A few of my friends went down early to the college town I’ll be visiting friends at tomorrow. Tomorrow’s a toga party, but my brother is coming in town tomorrow and driving down with me, so I waited on him. I didn’t do too bad today. I wanted to go for a run, but it rained so much that I really couldn’t. But I got a light chest/tri lifting sesh in and I did FAIRLY good with food today. I didn’t eat anything unhealthy (although I WANTED froyo for lunch! I abstained.) I also didn’t count calories. Got sushi for dinner and I used soy sauce so I feel so thirsty! But tomorrow is my official cheat day. I plan to do ok until dinnertime, then going out for dinner, then party. I really shouldn’t drink and haven’t 100% decided if I will, but we’ll see.
Back to tonight. After sushi, some of my guys wanted to hang out tonight and go to bars or chill, but I realized if I want to keep my grades up, I should spend time studying tonight instead. I mean… tomorrow it’s not happening, let’s be real here. I spent all last week studying material for med/surg nursing on the GI system and got to class today and got about 5 packets of notes on the Renal System and kidneys :| I mean… really?! [note: if you have not taken a nursing class or physiology course, the kidneys are SO complex. If something goes wrong or kidney failure occurs, EVERY body system is affected. Every. Single. One..] So I have to learn about kidney failure and nursing assessments and interventions all by next Friday for our exam. I can and WILL do this, but I will most likely be very stressed next week! But I felt a nice night in would be good, and I have the apartment to myself so it’s working out! Anyways.. I hope you guys have a great night and a good weekend!
Hey guys! How’s everything? I’m getting ready to go to the other side of town and meet my mom for an 11 o clock lunch! I hope I can keep it healthy, but I can only do my best. I just have to remember that results aren’t instantaneous, so I have to keep going, taking it one day at a time. I’m gonna hit the gym afterwards for a back and bicep workout and some cardio. I’ll let you guys know how all that goes! Then I gotta crack down on my studying. I don’t have any exams this week, but one in every class next week… It’s kinda like the calm before the storm.. ohhh nursing school. Why must you be so stressful sometimes? :)
Hey guys! I’m at starbucks studying for my med/surg class… the endocrine system.. ugh. Anyways, today I woke up at 10 am and went to the gym. I got 2 miles of running in, 2 miles of walking and a 35 minute back/bi lifting sess. I didn’t eat lunch so I decided to come to starbucks and get a Caramel Macchiato for 240 cals (grande). Not too bad! Today’s not the most nutritious day, breakfast was a ramen noodle cup (290 cals) but tonight I’m gonna have whole wheat pasta, marinara sauce, and low cal garlic bread, all for about 350 calories. I’ll probably have a yogurt and bagel thin, maybe some fruit too to fill up my 1200 cals for today. I hope I can equalize (at least!) my weekend and my goal is to lose 1 pound this week from Friday (since my weekend was so bad) but I would be OKAY with maintaining my 137 for this week if that’s the case… I’ll just have to be extra good this weekend. :/
